Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you recreate previous designs?
Yes — I can recreate designs I’ve previously created.

That said, no pair will ever be 100% identical. Hand-painted art means every piece carries its own character.

Recreated designs will maintain the same theme, color story, and overall aesthetic, but each pair remains uniquely yours.

    That’s the beauty of custom.

What if I don’t know exactly what I want yet?
That’s completely okay — that’s what the “therapy” is for.

You don’t need a full blueprint. Just bring your vibe, colors, inspiration, or story.

From there, we’ll shape the direction together and lock in the concept before any painting begins.

    Intentional. Collaborative. Never rushed.

    Do you customize worn shoes?
Yes — but only if they’re in good condition.

    Shoes must be:
    • Clean
    • Structurally sound
    • Made of paint-safe materials

If you’re unsure, send clear photos before submitting your request, and I’ll let you know if they’re a good candidate.

Not every shoe qualifies — and that’s how we protect the final result.

  • How much do customs cost?
    Pricing varies based on:

    • Shoe model
    • Design complexity
    • Materials used (paint, fabric wraps, specialty finishes, etc.)
    • Time + detail level

Once you submit your idea, I’ll review your vision and provide a custom quote before any work begins.

Every pair is intentionally crafted — never rushed.

    Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your custom session and reserve design time.

Deposit amounts vary by session type and are applied toward your final balance.

Final pricing (including shoe cost, materials, and custom work) is confirmed before painting begins.

What does it mean if Kick Therapy is sourcing the shoes?

If I’m sourcing the base shoe for you, here’s how it works:

    1. You submit your custom request

    2. We confirm design direction, sizing, and model

    3. Pricing is finalized (including shoe cost + custom work)

    4. I send the exact shoe listing and price for your approval

    5. Payment for the shoes is required before sourcing begins

    6. Once purchased, I’ll send confirmation + estimated delivery details

    7. When the shoes arrive, your custom session officially begins

Kick Therapy does not purchase shoes upfront on a client’s behalf.

Each sourced pair is secured specifically for an approved project — ensuring accuracy, availability, and intentional execution.

    What is the turnaround time?
Turnaround depends on current workload and the complexity of your design.

    In general:
    • Simpler designs = faster completion
    • Multi-layer / highly detailed work = longer timeline

Your estimated timeline is confirmed before your project begins.

    Quality > rushing.

    Do you accept rush orders?
    Depending on availability — yes.

Rush orders may be available for an additional fee. If you’re working with a deadline, include it in your submission form and I’ll let you know what’s possible.

  • Can I request designer logos or copyrighted brands?
If a concept includes inspired elements, it is created as original artistic expression — not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any brand.

All custom work is independent artwork.

    What is your refund policy?
    All custom sessions are final.

Because each pair is made specifically for you, there are no refunds once:

    • A design has been approved
    • Materials have been purchased
    • Or painting has begun

Deposits are non-refundable and secure your session time.

Every project is intentional and handcrafted — not mass-produced — which is why all sales are final.

  • How durable are custom sneakers?
    Each pair is:

    • Professionally prepped
    • Painted using premium, flexible sneaker paints
    • Properly sealed for long-term protection

With proper care, your customs are made to be worn and enjoyed — not just displayed.

They’re wearable art, built with intention.

How should I care for my custom sneakers?
    To protect your design:

    • Avoid harsh scrubbing or chemical cleaners
    • Do not machine wash
    • Clean gently using a soft cloth and mild solution
    • Allow them to air dry naturally

    Treat them like wearable art.

They’re meant to be worn — but cared for like something special.

  • As involved as you’d like to be — while still trusting the creative direction.

You’ll share your inspiration, colors, story, or overall vibe. From there, we’ll refine the concept together before any painting begins.

Once the direction is approved, I handle the execution with intention and creative freedom.

    You’re part of the vision.
    I’m responsible for the craftsmanship.

That balance is what makes it special.

  • Not at all.

Kick Therapy isn’t just for sneakerheads — it’s for anyone who wants to wear something that feels personal.

You don’t need to know brand history, release dates, or sneaker culture. You just need an idea, a vibe, or even just a feeling you want your pair to carry.

    We’ll guide the rest.

  • It starts with the Custom Request form.

From there, we refine the concept together before any painting begins.

No pressure. No rush. Just intentional creation.
